SomethinglikeBedford’sownWoodstock, theBedford Music Festival will be ‘nothing but peace and music’ … with 2,000 people expected!
The Bedford Music Festival is sponsored by ‘Destination 39.3’, a non- profit organization focused on Bedford’s 3 hamlets – Bedford Hills, Bedford Village and Katonah – with the mission to showcase Bedford’s beauty, vitality and diversity, and to promote Bedford as a unique place to live, work, play and explore. All net proceeds from the Music Festival will support beautification projects within the Town of Bedford and other Destination 39.3 initiatives. “We wanted to bring the residents of all 3 hamlets together and celebrate Bedford. Nothing brings people together more than the joy of live music,” says Sherri Owles, Board VP of Destination 39.3.

The grammy-nominated ‘Spin Doctors’ will be the musical headliners, and other musical acts will include: ‘Puppets for Hire’, ‘The Four 26’, ‘Robin and Friends’, and the ‘Cosmos Sunshine Trio’. Local resident Matt Saravay, who owns Brooklyn-based Wizard Studios, has arranged for Wizard to provide the entire musical production.
In addition, local restaurants will be offering ‘A Taste of Bedford’, and other vendors will be offering jewelry and other goods.
Bedford Town Supervisor, Ellen Calves, says “Live music brings people together, and the Bedford Music Festival will be a great opportunity for us to come together to celebrate Bedford and appreciate the unique and beautiful Town we share. Everyone is welcome… and we look forward to the Bedford Music Festival becoming an annual event!”
Brett Cameron, co-owner of La Maison Fete, says “We’re pleased to be involved with Destination 39.3, and looking forward to what will be a really fun event! The John Jay Homestead is the perfect setting… with lots of great music and food and other attractions, it’s going to be a blast!”
And Jeff Muti, who is the CEO of Sigma Worldwide and volunteers as Board President of Destination 39.3, adds “We’re very excited to present the Town of Bedford’s first music festival! It promises to be a wonderful chance for our residents to hear great music, taste the best that Bedford‘s restaurants have to offer, and shop from many of our Town’s merchants — all in the beautiful setting of the John Jay Homestead. Everyone’s welcome – free of charge! There’s no better way to spend a Saturday in October with your family! See you there!”
While the event is free to each visitor, there will be a $20 charge for each car, and there are VIP and sponsorship packages still available.
