Dish and dine at state-of-the-art cooking studio

Dinner party with professional chefs and Northwell Health medical experts: Part cooking studio, part dinner party, part continuing health education class, Northern Westchester Hospital is partnering with SUNY Westchester’s Taste of Westchester continuing education program and the Zwilling Cooking Studio to return to live in-person cooking education classes. On March 21 this unique cooking class will be offered at the state-of-the-art Zwilling Cooking Studio in Pleasantville, NY. Led by professional chefs participants will prepare a three-course vegetarian, fiber-rich meal that includes: Quinoa Fennel Salad, Lemon Pea Risotto, Sous Vide Pineapple with Spiced Caramel Sauce.

After cooking, you will adjourn to a beautiful dining space to “dine and dish” with clinicians from Northwell Health. In honor of National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month the conversation will focus on the connection between healthy eating and reducing your risk of colorectal cancer. The clinical experts leading the conversation will include:

• Margaret Andersen, MD, Internal Medicine, Northwell Health Physician Partners, Associate Director of Medical Education at Northern Westchester Hospital
• Elie Abemayor, MD, Chief, Gastroenterology at Northern Westchester Hospital, Northwell Health Physician Partners
• Jackie Horne, RD, CDN, Outpatient Dietitian for the Cancer Institute at Northern Westchester Hospital.
