There will be a community corner, food demonstrations, live music, kids activities, nature walks, story time, and the “Open Mic Stage” where you can sign up to perform! We will also be spotlighting organizations in our community doing great work to serve others.

The Town Players Presents: A Christmas Story

Starting Friday, December 1, through Sunday, December 17, The Town Players of New Canaan will present “A Christmas Story,” the beloved American tale familiar to generations as a holiday family film favorite. Twelve local children, ages 6 to 17, join local grown-up actors in a nostalgic classic play evoking the magic and anticipation of children’s seemingly eternal wait for Christmas. The plot follows the schemes and antics of fourth grader Ralphie Parker (alternately played by New Canaanites Carlos Escamilla and Miles Langrick), who is determined to find a Red Ryder BB gun under the tree on Christmas morning. Charis Chamber Voices Holiday Concert – New Canaan

Charis Chamber Voices celebrates the holidays, festively accompanied by a brilliant brass sextet. Charis’s Artistic Director, Jeremy Wiggins, conducts a program of Baroque and contemporary works for the season. Two concerts are scheduled in area churches: on Saturday, December 2 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 85 E Main Street, Mount Kisco, NY, and Sunday, December 3, at 4:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of New Canaan, 178 Oenoke Ridge Road, New Canaan, CT. The program includes Baroque works by Hassler and Gabrieli and music by celebrated American composers such as Daniel Pinkham, Stephen Paulus, and New Canaan native Gwyneth Walker. There will be a wine and cheese reception after the concert. Tickets are $25 ($20 for seniors and $15 for students). They may be purchased in advance through the Charis website,, or at the door. Charis is an auditioned chorus of about 30 men and women from Westchester County, NY, and Fairfield County, CT. Founded in 1994, the group is renowned for its diverse repertoire, unique blend of voices and captivating performances.
